At Crossway Christian Counseling, our mission is to provide Christ-centered counseling services that foster healing, growth, and transformation. Our compassionate care integrates Biblical principles with effective professional therapeutic practices. Through a holistic approach, we aim to support the emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being of individuals, couples, and families. Guided by Christ’s love, we create a safe space for hope, restoration, and embracing the fullness of life that God intends.
We offer confidential individual counseling for all ages, marital counseling, and family support, available in-person and via telehealth.
What is Christian Counseling?
At Crossway Christian Counseling, we integrate principles and teachings from the Christian faith and worldview with psychological insights to address emotional, relational, and spiritual concerns. Our clinicians, who have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, may incorporate prayer, scripture, and spiritual guidance into their sessions. We help clients explore their relationship with God and others, understand their purpose and identity in Christ, and apply Biblical principles to navigate life’s challenges. Our counseling covers a wide range of issues, including depression, anxiety, grief, relationships, addiction, and more.
We respect each client's spiritual journey and tailor our approach to support personal growth and a deeper reliance on faith.
What We Believe
At Crossway Christian Counseling, we integrate psychology and theology under the authority of Scripture. Our beliefs are founded on the truths of the Bible, and we are dedicated to integrating faith with effective therapeutic practices to support the mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being of our clients. Each clinician at Crossway Christian Counseling affirms our Statement of Faith as well as the American Association of Christian Clinician’s (AACC) Statement of Faith, so you can be confident that your clinician embraces the truth of the Gospel.
1. The Bible. We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God, and it serves as the ultimate authority for faith, life, and practice (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Christian counseling offered through our clinic is grounded in Biblical truth, and we strive to align our methods and advice with Scripture.
2. God. We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19). We trust in God’s sovereign grace and believe He is active in every part of our lives, including the healing process.
3. Jesus Christ. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man, who was sent to earth to redeem humanity. His death on the cross and resurrection provide the means for our salvation and offer hope, restoration, and peace to those who trust in Him (Romans 5:8).
4. The Holy Spirit. We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer, guiding us into truth and empowering us to live transformed lives (John 16:13, Galatians 5:22-23). We depend on the Holy Spirit’s guidance in our counseling approach to provide wisdom, comfort, and healing to those we serve.
5. Humanity. We believe that all people are made in the image of God (Genesis 1:27) and, therefore, have intrinsic value and dignity. However, due to the fall, all people are affected by sin and are in need of redemption and healing, which is available through faith in Jesus Christ (Romans 3:23).
6. Salvation. We believe that salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone (Ephesians 2:8-9). This salvation brings spiritual renewal and a restored relationship with God, which is foundational to true and lasting healing.
7. Sanctification and Healing. We believe that sanctification is the ongoing process by which believers grow in their relationship with Christ and become more like Him (Philippians 1:6). Emotional and psychological healing are part of this journey, and we are committed to walking alongside our clients as they experience transformation through the power of Christ.
8. The Church. We believe in the universal church, the body of Christ, composed of all believers worldwide (Ephesians 4:4-6). We encourage our clients to connect with a local church community, as we believe that fellowship and accountability are essential to spiritual growth and healing.
This statement of faith expresses our core beliefs and shapes how we approach counseling. We believe that true healing is found through Jesus Christ, and we seek to reflect His love, grace, and truth in all that we do.
